It's not just about how quick, it's about how far

Right then, it's official, we're off.
Goodbye to one and all, it's been fun most of the time, but really, I've had enough of running in mud, so we're giving it all up.

and moving.........................................

to Alaska.
We're just back from a quick trip to the States to finalise our paperwork, collect our Green Cards (we're now officially US Permanent Residents - or legal aliens as the authorities seem to call us.)
We bought some land in Alaska a year or so ago, just north of Willow, and our house there should be finished early this summer. We plan on leaving the UK July/August time with all our dogs to pursue our dream of running long distance races with our own dogs.

It will be a huge change and a whole lot of new experiences. It's both scary and exciting, but I believe if you have a dream of doing something, then you should chase that dream as best you can. If you do, and it doesn't work out, at least you tried.

And no, I have no intention of running the Iditarod or Quest.

I'm sure I'll see many of you guys before we actually leave, but I couldn't keep it a secret any longer  Lips sealed

Ugh, FINALLY!!!

You've no idea how hard it's been to keep schtum on this one!

All the best to you, Joyce and the gang.

I'm sure you'll have a great time... just keep sending the Eagle Pack over and I'll be happy!   Grin

Best of Luck to you and your Family.

You are 100% right when you say.

then you should chase that dream as best you can. If you do, and it doesn't work out, at least you tried.

Life is too short and good on you for chasing your dream.

Someone told me I'd be sick of the sight of snow after a while..................   highly unlikely, I reckon.

AJ,  bring your dogs over, we'll have a training weekend  Wink

Pat, just too slow, if only you had asked the day before yesterday,  Grin
