I may be very slow and everyone knows this already, But has anyone else noticed the very interesting development in the entry class qualifications,( here is a clue under Limit) in the W&PAS schedule.

For us others that are a bit slow, you want to let us know what it says

Any dog which has attained it title sh CH is not eligible for entry in the limit class.
I would understand this to mean that all of those people who have worked so " hard" to attend little open shows to gain the title will only have the option of entry to the open class.
This will affect some fairly young dogs who have only gain this title, dare I say, through small turn-outs at open shows, judged by all-rounders!

It's the Show Certificate of Merit, officially written as ShCM after the dog's name. It is awarded to a dog who has won 25 points at open shows. You get 1 point for BOB, 4 for a Group1, 3 for a group 2, 2 for a group 3, 1 for a group 4. You also get another point for BIS.

You don't have the same minimum entry requirements as you do with a JW, so it's rather easier to get.

Having said that, I've decided to make it harder for myself.....little Volk currently has 20 points, but he has ONLY won the BOB points under breed specialists, and actually more than half of the group points were from specialists too. Because I decided that I would do it that way be probably will never get the title, but it makes the points he has got all the more rewarding. 

(And that's probably the last time you'll see me boasting about one of my dogs' show wins, but he's retiring from the ring this year and I felt he deserved it!)

O what crap I write when having a senior moment. The Oracle tells me  because this is a two group show and some dogs wil be working champions and not necessarily show champions hence the different wording in the schedule
