When we were down south Ewan headed over to Yorkshire for a Weight Pull organised by Keith Butler on behalf of AMCUK.  Ewan entered our Lakota, he was a star, he pulled over 27 times his body weight 1300 pounds he was inches short of pulling 1400 pounds and thats after doing little to nothing over the summer months.  I have to say we are all very proud of him not bad for a 9 year old, he pulled the highest percentage of the day, the highest pull of the day was 1700 pounds achieved by Kodi belonging to Jeff and Joan, Lakota was the only Sibe to compete on the day.  Just makes me wonder if Ewan gave the dogs just a little more help out on the trail  Roll Eyes

When I have a dog pulling over 1300lbs, which is the same as 40 bags of dog food or this - of more than a fully laden light aircraft, I think they are more than capable of getting me round the trail  Grin

Here's a picture of Lakota at the pull, heading back to the van after pulling 1000lbs -
