Can anyone help HuhHuh

Hello Dreamcatcher,
As part of our Easter week-end festivities we are opening Thirlestane Castle up to the dogs.
We had somebody who volunteer to do some dog sledding however due to circumstances had to withdraw.
Dog sledding here in the Scottish Borders is relatively new and lots of people are hoping to see it.

I am writing to you to see if you have any contacts in the Scottish Borders who would like to come along on Easter Sunday & Monday and demonstrate the teams?
Please have a look at www.dogsallowed.org.uk to get a fuller feeling of what we hope will be an annual event.

 Best regards,

Hi Terry,

It's been sorted, they now have replacement teams.

Aww, that looks like a great day out. I wish they'd have something like that near Glossop. The closest we get are young farmers shows and sheepdog trials.

It seems that most Sibe events are in Scotland, or at least 150 miles away.

Does anybody know of any regular meets/ events in Cheshire/ Derbyshire/ Yorkshire/ Lancashire or Staffs..?

well looking at the calender there is a weight pulling event at Alerton Park, N yorks on easter weekend, 6th April and 13 april.

Not sure what else is going on but there must be some things.  It looks like Norfolk is a very popular place for events but thats probably a bit far for you.

This event went well the weather was great for the dogs, Ewan had a great run with them he just disappeared into a blizzard of snow it was great to watch and the dogs loved it.

Bridget,

I thought you might have mentioned Malcolm's first place in the show ring   Shocked  Dog that looked most like its owner  Grin Grin Grin  Poor Diesel, the shame of it  Roll Eyes

It's a pity we couldn't have had the "Iditerod Trail" song blaring out as Ewan raced across the field disappearing into the blizzard.  I've never seen anything like it - very surreal, considering we'd been basking in the warm sunshine earlier in the day.

Great day out and a great end to a brilliant weekend.

Did not mention it as nobody would believe me and I don't have a photo to prove it.
