looking for bit of advice, one of my boys is really thin and would like to add a few pounds to him
he is out of coat just now,i know that can make them look bit thinner anyway but he is thinner
across the back end than my pup who is only 8 months.
He gets wormed as normal and is in good health but just built like the gable end of a fiver,Ive
heard raw chicken wings can do the trick by gradually adding it to their diet,Is that true.

Hello,lady p

Feeding them on a food from GIBBS of GALSTON its their own food label for working dogs.
Ive not got the nutritional content to hand just now cause Ive threw the bag out, they get
fed twice daily once at 7am and again bout 6-7pm its usually the eukanuba feeding cup filled
twice daily,my other three boys are all fine and have good strong frames, but ichero is just bit
skinny but don't know if thats just the way he is going to be.He is just over 2 years as well
so he maybe fill out wee bit soon ( maybe) Grin Grin

hi john,

its more than likely just his age and he will put weight on in time.

have you tried feeding the normal amount he gets over three meals instead of two???  sometimes smaller meals more often works.  the problem with trying to get weight on dogs is that they are all different and chicken wings may work for one dog but not the next.  if you are going to try chicken wings i would feed them as a seperate meal to the kibble.

you could also try tripe.  its is quite good for putting weight on.  pets at home do a bag of tripe chunks which you could add to his meals.
